This July, I graduated the University of Huddersfield with a first class degree in Costume with Textiles BA(Hons).

I've had the pleasure of working with seasoned proffessionals and experts in their field, which has been an enriching and enlightening experience. To collaborate with individuals who have honed their skills over years of dedicated practice was invaluable.

The past few years have, of course, had their ups and downs, as to be expected with the "University Experience". Especialy so given the Covid-19 pandemic which provided it's challenges in my first and second years. However, I have thoughrouly enjoyed the experience and couldn't be prouder of my fellow alumni for their acheivements.

I look forward to putting the experience to good use.

Meeting Jenny Beavan OBE

After following Jenny Beavan OBE's work for many years and looking up to her costume and textiles prowess, finally meeting her in person was a dream come true.

Jenny's work have been a significant source of inspiration for me to pursue costume and textiles. Her talent and creativity in the world of costume design have always been awe-inspiring. Here are some of her notable projects that have influenced me:

A Room with a View: The period costumes in this film beautifully crafted by Jenny Beavan highlighted her attention to detail and historical accuracy, inspiring me to delve deeper into textile design.

The King's Speech: The elegant and sophisticated costumes in this movie demonstrated Jenny Beavan's ability to capture the essence of different time periods through clothing, motivating me to explore costume history further.

Meeting Jenny Beavan OBE in person was a dream come true and solidified my admiration for her remarkable work in the field of costume and textiles.
